Join our headspace Hedland team where you will provide comprehensive clinical assessments and brief interventions for young people and their families along with designing and facilitating group wellbeing programs, activities and events.

This is a full time, permanent position and includes flexible and family friendly work options. This opportunity is based in South Hedland.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will bring!

You will bring your patient and empathetic nature alongside experience in delivering person centred, trauma informed services that are culturally appropriate. 

  • Tertiary level qualification in relevant clinical discipline including clinical psychology, psychology, mental health, mental health nursing, social/ behavioural science, social work, youth work or equivalent
  • Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or current full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or equivalent (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience working with and engaging young people with mental health, alcohol and other drug, sexual health or primary health or work and study concerns from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in providing a clinical intake and assessment to young people and their families.
  • Previous experience in youth program facilitation and coordination

The successful candidate must also possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers License.

Remuneration and benefits

  • Salary starting from $105,696 per annum (inclusive of 10% remote localities allowance) 11.5% super
  • Tax-free salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 per annum
  • Rent subsidy up to $300 per week and electricity allowance up to $ per annum available (eligibility criteria apply)
  • Additional 3 days leave per year over the Christmas period
  • Access to purchase leave
