About the Role

The Yard Controller will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations at our Forrestfield site. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can manage yard logistics effectively while maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Yard Operations: Coordinate truck movements, ensure efficient loading/unloading.

Scheduling and Logistics: Execute collection and delivery schedules, booking yard collections, and managing time slots.

Inventory Management: Assist in managing products arriving at and leaving the site.

Team Collaboration: Liaise with internal staff, and subcontractors, to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Documentation: Assist in preparing delivery dockets and verifying delivery costs.

Safety and Compliance: Identify and report irregularities, maintain housekeeping standards, and uphold workplace safety protocols.

Attributes and Experience:

• 5 years of logistics or yard coordinating/ management experience.
• A forklift license and a background in yard operations are highly desirable.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with logistics systems.
• Strong decision-making and communication skills, with the ability to lead and manage diverse teams.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
