We currently have a position available for Workshop Supervisor for a company based in Hazelmere, right near Perth Airport.
This is an initial contract position, however, there the plan is for this to be a long-term / permanent staff position.
The role would suit someone from a HD/Diesel mechanical fitter background, who wants to step into a supervisory role. In addition, we also have requirements in this team for HD fitters and diesel mechanics starting in the new year.
This is a Monday to Friday role, working full time hours, and is a role you’ll be home every night. You’ll receive weekly pay – on time, every time.
Key Responsibilities:
- To oversee and direct the activities of the workshop.
- Oversee a team of HD fitters/diesel mechanics
- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel.
- Ensure that a work program is maintained on a weekly basis to maximise customer service and production
- Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
- Manage and lead tool box meetings
- Interpret labour and material productivity reports and take appropriate corrective action
- Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
