Workpack Engineer SMP

ugl have a short term opportunity for an experienced mechanical workpack engineer to join our perth based team. 

the successful candidate will have a proven record of successful development and maintenance of mechanical workpacks for an lng facility.

reporting to the delivery manager  you will be responsible for\:

  • adhere to compliance of all work packs to the approved procedures, inclusive of all associated documentation
  • maintenance of the project work pack numbering convention
  • development and upload of work pack documents into the projects scope and document management systems
  • generate and maintain the work pack documents in the projects control systems and develop content as required
  • liaise with client/site teams to resolve sqs and expedite reviews
  • manage and communicate changes to work packs using the approved procedures
  • communicate the work pack requirements to lead workpack engineer and project engineer
  • participate in work pack development reviews and furnish documentation to support these reviews
  • report the progress of work pack development using the project control systems

skills and experience\:

  • engineering or trade qualification relevant to coatings, insulation, mechanical or electrical and instrumentation disciplines
  • demonstrated industry experience
  • demonstrated experience in development and management of work pack / job card delivery
  • sound knowledge of industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the sites engineering activities.
  • leading edge knowledge and expertise of construction practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the project engineering activities.
  • experience working within a multi-cultural workforce is preferred.
  • relevant experience in an industrial services organisation facilitating engineering controls.
  • reliable, dependable, responsible, flexible, an excellent communicator, strong leadership and seasoned people management skills.
  • strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines consistently.
  • seasoned communication & coordination skills.
  • ability to work independently and as part of a high functioning team.
