Workforce Scheduler

The Opportunity:
We’re seeking an experienced Workforce Scheduler for a key client in the resources sector. You’ll manage scheduling for 200–300 personnel, so experience in high-volume environments is essential.

Background with BHP, FMG, or Rio Tinto is highly regarded. This is a full-time, office-based role in Perth (Monday to Friday) with flexible start times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain daily and long-term (12-week) workforce schedules for 200–300 personnel
• Liaise with supervisors and department heads to align scheduling with operational requirements
• Ensure roster compliance with site requirements, fatigue management, and relevant EBA conditions
• Update and adjust schedules in response to changes, absences, or project demands
• Monitor workforce availability and flag potential gaps or resourcing issues in advance
• Contribute to workforce planning and forecasting to support continuous improvement
• Communicate schedule updates clearly to all stakeholders
• Maintain accurate data and records within scheduling systems/tools

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in workforce scheduling, ideally in high-volume environments (200–300 personnel)
• Background working with or supporting major clients such as BHP, FMG, or Rio Tinto (highly regarded)
• Ability to perform and manage 12-week workforce forecasting
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proficient in scheduling tools/software (e.g. Excel, SAP, or similar)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with operations teams
• Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday, from a Perth-based office
• Flexible with start times to support business and personal needs
