About Us
As part of a team, you will be engaged in the operation and maintenance of Council’s Water Supply and Wastewater network. Your role will be key to ensuring the community has a continuous supply of potable water.
You will be trained and fully supported in your role. The role requires the incumbent to work as a part of a team but may also require to be tasked with minimal supervision depending on the needs of our operations.
As part of your role, you may be required to operate and maintain water quality dosing points, or operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities, training and mentoring will be supplied by Council to enable you to undertake these functions.
About The Role
As a Water Services Operator, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the Narrabri Shire. In this fast-paced role, you will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted water supply. Some day-to-day duties include:
- Undertake maintenance of water and sewer infrastructure as part of a team
- Respond to customer requests regarding water and wastewater.
- Be involved in the construction of new infrastructure as part of a team.
- Assist in the operation of water and wastewater treatment.

About You
