Details: Canberra Museum and Gallery, Lanyon Homestead, Calthorpes House, and Mugga Mugga Cottage are looking for enthusiastic Visitor Services Officers to join our front-of-house team.

ACT Galleries, Museums and Heritage preserves and interprets the Canberra region’s past, present, and future through the Canberra Museum and Gallery, as well as three iconic heritage sites: Lanyon Homestead, Mugga Mugga Cottage, and Calthorpes House. These sites highlight the region’s Aboriginal, ecological, and cultural heritage.

As a Visitor Services Officer, youll play a key role in delivering exceptional visitor experiences through:

• Engaging customer service.
• Leading tours and education/interpretive programs.
• Assisting in retail operations and venue hire events.

• Experience working with diverse audiences.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering engaging tours and programs.
• A love of Canberra, its history, culture and people.

Notes: These are permanent part-time shift worker positions with varying hours up to hours per week. The full-time salary quoted will be paid pro-rata. Successful applicants will be required on weekdays, weekends, public holidays and occasional evenings. Penalty rates apply to weekend and public holidays.
