This is a great opportunity to be part of the worlds largest bulk export port authority, encompassing the operating ports of Ashburton, Dampier, Port Hedland and Varanus Island, and five future port sites. Vessel Traffic Services Operators (VTSOs) are responsible for delivery of Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) accredited Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) to ensure the safe, efficient and compliant movement of vessels whilst maintaining a high level of situational awareness, within the Port of Dampier, Ashburton, Varanus Island and future ports.

The VTSO is responsible to ensure the safe and efficient management of shipping related activities as detailed in the relevant manuals and operating procedures.

The VTS Centre operates on a 24/7 basis. VTSOs are employed as residential shift workers and work 12-hour shifts in accordance with roster arrangements

About You
