Our client is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in Tasmania, Australia. The mine is a deep, sublevel open stoping operation with complex Mining conditions.
Your new role
The purpose of the Ventilation Engineer role is to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the mines ventilation system by providing technical expertise, monitoring airflow conditions, and supporting mine planning. This role is critical in optimising ventilation infrastructure, managing ventilation-related risks, and enabling production teams to meet operational objectives while maintaining a safe working environment. The Ventilation Engineer also contributes to long-term mine planning, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ventilation efficiency and support sustainable mining operations.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Mine Engineer qualification
- Demonstrated underground ventilation experience.
- Ventism experience required.
- Mine design software experience (Deswik preferred)
What you’ll get in return
In return, our client can offer a FIFO roster on 8/6/4/3 or 8/6 or 4/3. This role is a permanent role underground in Tasmania.
