Underground Fixed Plant Fitter

Engineering Trades Australia are seeking two highly skilled Underground Fitters for long-term FIFO roles in the Pilbara region, working on a well-established underground gold/copper site.
Whether your strength is in fixed plant underground maintenance or youve got deeper experience across shaft infrastructure and specialised systems, we want to hear from you.
This is an 8:6 FIFO position (ex-Perth) with an excellent chance to go permanent after 6 months for the right candidates.
ROLE 1 Fixed Plant Underground Maintenance Fitter
You will be responsible for:

• Maintenance and repairs on conveyors, stackers, apron feeders, underground dewatering circuits
• Conducting inspections, fault-finding and minor hydraulic repairs
• Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Supporting underground operations to ensure reliable plant performance

Role 2 – Underground Infrastructure Fitter


Youll bring experience with:

• Shafts, Winders & Headframes
• Underground Dewatering Systems & Ventilation Door Systems
• Paste Plant & Batch Plant operations
• Bulk Air Chilling Units
• Surface Ventilation Fans
• Equipment including Crushers, Apron Feeders, Stackers & Conveyors
• Strong ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and fault finding

What is required for both roles?

• Australian Trade Certificate
• Current Manual Driver license
• Working at Heights & Confined Spaces – Within 2 years
• One or more of the following: EWP Over 11, Forklift, Dogging, Rigging
• Clean Police clearance or willing to obtain one
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A
• Must be residing in Australia with full working rights
