Underground Communication Technician

Engineering Trades Australia, is an integrated engineering workforce and contracting provider that operates nationally. We provide skilled trades and bespoke engineering services to a large client suite across Australias resources and heavy industry sectors. 
Currently we have a FIFO base position located on a blue chip Mine Site in QLD. 
What’s on offer?
Job Title: Underground Communication Technician 
Start Date: ASAP 
Duration: 3 months initially however opportunity for ongoing work with the client. 
Roster: 7/7 Day/ Night Roster
Pay Rate: Up to $75 p/h 
Night Shift Rate: 15% uplift 
Location: QLD (FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns)
Accommodation and Meals provided 
Job Scope: 

• Maintain communication infrastructure both underground and on the surface – preventative, corrective, and reactive work.
• Commission and intergrate new communication technology introduced to the site
• Design, repair, and install communication equipment such as network links, DMR, fibre optics, and structure cabling.

Requirements: 

• Certificate III in Electronics and Communications
• Underground Experience
• LVCPR
• High risk licence (including EWP 11 meters)
• Working at Heights, Confined Space Statement of Attainments (valid within 2-years)
• National Police clearance <12 months old or ability to obtain ASAP.
• Medical < 12 months old or ability to obtain ASAP.
• Drug & Alcohol Screen <6 months old or ability to obtain ASAP.
