The Role:
Our Adelaide depot has an opportunity for a Transport Administrator to join their team.
In this role, you will provide essential administrative support for day-to-day activities, focusing heavily on data entry, manifesting, general admin tasks, and debriefing.
This is a Monday to Friday position with a shift every second Saturday; with a day off in lieu for the Saturday worked.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Manifesting consignments
- Loading planning and supporting operations
- The facilitation and management of customer orders and jobs received
- Liaising with operational staff to ensure all customer requirements are met
- Managing freight bookings and time slot requests
- Debriefing driver paperwork
- Assisting with depot pallet control
- Ad hoc administrative duties as directed by the Administration and Depot Manager
- Ensuring that all transport documents are correctly completed, filed and utilised in compliance with any and all regulatory standards for the transportation industry.
About you:
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Prior administration experience
- Be able to prioritise high volume of work and work in a fast-paced environment
- Have excellent time management skills, planning and organisational skills
- Have a positive attitude with the willingness to learn
- Be a team player with excellent customer service skills
- Have a genuine care factor for the needs of the internal and external customer
Previous experience in the transport and logistics industry essential
