Protech are looking for 2 x experienced Trainer and Asessors to perform work with our client, located on a large project here in Orange NSW.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Training and Assessor role ensures the projects operational employees and contractors are equipped with the appropriate skills to perform their roles in a safe and efficient manner, whilst ensuring we meet our Safety compliance obligations.
- Immediate start
- Casual, however (fulltime hours)
- 8/6 roster Wed to Wed 6am-6pm
- Accomodation availbale for FIFO/DIDO, plus daily travel
- $58hr
- Applicants can be Local, FIFO or DIDO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Without limiting the generality of the forgoing, key responsibilities of the Training & Assessor are:
- Support stakeholders in achieving learning and development outcomes in line with project delivery.
- Assist the Project Team in identify training needs for the Project workforce.
- Conduct and facilitate training and development when required.
- Assess employees against their role-based training requirements.
- Perform competency assessments, identify gaps, and make recommendations.
- Design and build training content that meets the identified learning objects and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance is accurate and precise whilst keeping an up-to-date record for auditing reasons.
- Keep informed of all developments in legislative requirements, industry standards and best practices in construction and ensure that these are followed at all times with a high priority to workplace health and safety.
- Ensure that plant, equipment, staff, and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions and ensure that all departmental operations meet the safety and legislative requirements.
- Comply with company Integrated Management System policies and procedures.
- Identify competitive advantages and build organic growth opportunities.
- Represent the project in a professional manner at all times, both externally and internally and support the adoption of the corporate culture.
- Be positive and proactive in their approach to the coaching, mentoring and training of relevant staff and identify and develop staff within the department for the benefit of the organisation and to meet future growth and needs of the company.
- Responsible for a productive team environment where high morale contributes to the satisfactions of associates and business objectives.
- Perform other functions related to the office of the Training and Assessor or as may be requested by the Directors of the business.
TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Current Drivers Licence
- 5 years experience as a trainer in a similar role and ideally on a major infrastructure project or similar.
- Adaptable and able to work in a high-volume role, whilst working on site as part of a team.
- Process and planning oriented with great attention to detail.
- Proven ability to deliver programs in classroom settings to diverse groups of people.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good time management skills.
