About the Role: Calibration Technician

We are on the lookout for either a Calibration Technician or Trainee to join the dynamic team at Trilab. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring exceptional customer service by calibrating material testing equipment primarily for soil, rock, and concrete testing laboratories. Operating locally from our Brisbane office, as well as regionally and interstate, you’ll enjoy a multifaceted position that spans various locations and scopes.

As a Calibration Technician, you will split your time between our Geebung branch and servicing both in-house and external stakeholders. The role requires periodic travel, typically overnight, of approximately one week per month, for scheduled calibrations on testing equipment across Australia. Full training will be provided for experienced technicians and Trainees.

Key responsibilities include performing calibrations primarily on equipment for clients (off-site) as well as internally within the Trilab workshop, covering weighing devices, pressure, force, and dimensional instruments.

Responsibilities of the Role Include:

  • Calibrating in-house machinery
  • Execution of day-to-day laboratory calibrations
  • Servicing clients’ equipment off-site
  • Providing on-the-job training
  • Servicing testing machines and precision instruments
  • Preparation of test reports and worksheets
  • Set-up and maintenance of laboratory equipment and software
  • Conducting work on local and rural job sites

If you’re aiming for higher pay, having some of the following skills will give you an edge:

  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic equipment
  • Mechanical & electrical aptitude highly regarded
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and problem-solving ability
  • Driver’s License required for intrastate and interstate travel
  • Desire to exceed in-house and client expectations
