Tradesperson – Auto Electrical

About the role

We are currently looking for an Auto Electrician to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will provide auto electrical support across both our underground and surface workshops, performing breakdown and preventative maintenance on mobile equipment.

Roster: 7/7 or 8/6 roster, 12 hours (Dayshift)

Location: Peak Gold Mine, Cobar NSW

Travel Options: Residential, DIDO & FIFO

  • DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance
  • FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne

Qualifications and experience

  • Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology
  • Cert II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology (desirable)
  • Prior experience working in an underground hardrock mine
  • Experience working on; Sandvik Jumbo – DD421 Sandvik Longhole – DL421 Epiroc Truck – MT65 CAT Loader – RG / 980 / 950 Normet Charge Rig – B / Normet AGI and shotcrete equipment Volvo and CAT Ancillary Equipment
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with equipment electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Team player who fosters a positive and inclusive work culture
