Your new company is an independent timber and hardware supplier serving the Shepparton building and trade community. With a chance to learn and grow under the supervision of senior leadership, this role provides a unique opportunity for a hands-on Trade Store Manager to join a close-knit team and potentially become a part-owner in the business further down the line.

Your new role

Your new role will be inclusive of but not limited to the following duties:

• Lead and mentor a dedicated team of retail and warehouse staff
• Provide expert advice and quotes for trade and retail customers
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, and supplier relationships
• Ensure daily operations, safety standards, and team productivity
• Track KPIs, manage budgets, and support pricing strategy
• Drive customer satisfaction and build long-term business relationships

What you’ll need to succeed

To succeed in this role and perform at the level expected, you will have:

• Strong background in building or construction (trade qualified preferred)
• Experience running your own construction business highly regarded
• Proven leadership in retail hardware, timber, or building supply
• Excellent communication, quoting, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage POS/inventory systems; forklift license a plus
• Willing to get hands-on when requiredmanual handling included
