Tester Supervisor – Concrete

Your next opportunity:

Due to continued growth across our business, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join our team as Laboratory Supervisor. 

This role will have 5-6 direct reports and involves leading a team of Concrete Field Testers, to deliver on a daily basis across the Victorian region.

Your day will involve:             

  • Actively promote and lead safe work practices and the adherence to relevant OH&S management
  • Lead a team of Concrete Field Testers to deliver to the clients needs and internal requirements
  • Manage sub-contractors against contractual deliverables and agreed KPIs
  • Lead the Concrete Administration team and meet required KPIs and deadlines
  • Review client specifications and assist allocations team to deliver as required
  • Communicate daily with internal and external customers around results and testing issues
  • Lead and close out both internal and external audits
  • Investigate and close out internal and external client NCRs
  • Deliver on business KPIs around efficiency, cost control and employee engagement
  • Ensure compliance with light vehicle policy including disciplinary outcomes
  • Maintenance of the section according to NATA accreditation requirements

What are we looking for?  

  • Strong leadership skills and a commitment to safety and quality
  • Nata signatory for concrete tests
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline e.g. Civil, Chemical or Materials – (desirable but not essential).
  • Well-developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data (ie Qest, Word, Excel etc)
  • Good time management and organisation skills
  • An ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Knowledge of Australian and Industry standards
