Our Client is the fastest growing major Motor and Home insurer in Australia. Due to significant growth we are thrilled to partner with them to seeking a Team Leader for the Desktop Home Assessing team based in Lidcombe.
You will play a pivotal role in guiding and overseeing the Desktop Home Assessing Team, who are responsible for virtual assessments of impacted properties, cost validation, ensuring high scope accuracy and end-to-end management of claims assigned to them.
You will be responsible for organising ongoing training and coaching to the team, and ensuring that the Desktop Home Assessors are consistent and effective in their approach to virtual assessments and validation of scopes of works.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to successfully demonstrate:
- Strong People Leadership, including your proven development of people through providing guidance and support, performance managing, coaching and mentoring.
- Proven Coaching and Continuous Improvement of your team of Desktop Home Assessors across all their responsibilities.
- Effective Cost Control, implementation and refinement of cost control strategies, identifying areas of improvement and delivering planned cost outcomes.
- Successful Relationship Management, including building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid Performance and Progress Reporting, including tracking, monitoring and reporting on KPIs to ensure productivity and quality metrics meet expectations.
In addition to the above required experience, you will need:
- Experience in home assessing and/or the building industry
- Previous insurance and/or estimating experience, preferred
- Strong change agility
- Operational reporting literacy
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
