Team Lead Load & Haul

ConsMin produces some of the worlds highest grade manganese ore and is considered a world leader in manganese mining. Our ConsMin Australian operation (Woodie Woodie) is based in the WA Pilbara, 407kms south-east of Port Hedland. Enjoy a short two hour flight direct to our well-equipped camp and mining operation – only a five minute drive from Woodie airport. 

• Drive team performance by setting clear KPIs, providing training and development opportunities and implementing succession plans.
• Manage team performance by providing regular feedback and applying appropriate performance management.
• Oversee and/or operate a world-class Load & Haul fleet, including Cat B & EX Excavators, Cat 992K Loaders, 16M & 18M Graders, D10T, D11 & 854K Dozers, 777/G & 789 Dump Trucks, and 777F Water Carts.
• Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks with daily contingency planning to keep operations on track.
• Maintain effective communication with other department personnel in order to meet production targets.

Requirements to be successful in this role are:

• Extensive hands-on experience as an All-Round Operator in open-pit mining, with confidence operating the full range of equipment listed above.
• A solid background in leading teams within a mining production environment, with a focus on performance and safety.
• A strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures.
• Competent with computers and familiar with the Microsoft Office suitecomfortable using digital tools to support daily operations.
• A minimum of a Drivers License is required.
