About the role

GroundProbe is extremely proud of our status of an innovative and strategic technology leader. We are constantly innovating, designing and producing new radar and scanning products which are changing the face of the mining and heavy industry sectors as we know it. 

We are excited to announce that we are recruiting for a Systems and V&V Engineer to join our high performing Product Development team at our Global Head Office in Windsor, Brisbane. The role, working Monday to Friday (08::30) amongst an inclusive, friendly, and supportive team. 

Systems and V&V Engineers are not quality engineers or project managers, but their role in ensuring adherence to strong requirements and the Verification & Validation (V&V) process has a direct impact on delivery and quality across all departments. By defining clear requirements, managing system interfaces, and ensuring rigorous testing and validation, they reduce project risk, help prevent defects, improve reliability, and drive overall product quality.

What you will be doing

• Taking ownership of the V&V process;
• Leading, directing and developing the Engineering Team in relation to Systems Engineering, with a particular focus on writing requirements, tractability of requirements, design evidence and test evidence;
• Facilitating system integration and testing;
• Ensuring that GroundProbes products are worlds best and meet the demanding needs of GroundProbes customers world-wide;
• Working closely with electrical, mechanical and software engineers, as well as product managers and other stakeholders.

What you will bring

• Systems engineering experience (requirement definition, risk management, integration, verification and validation);
• Broad exposure to electro-mechanical systems. For example communication systems, ELV power electronics, control systems and automation;
• Product development experience from concept to launch;
• Experience developing test plans;
• 5 years experience in a commercial environment.

Mandatory

• University Degree or equivalent in an appropriate Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechatronic, Mechanical, etc.);
• 5 years experience in Engineering;
• Experience working with system requirements and following a V&V process.

Desirable/Highly regarded

• Experience certifying products to international standards such as CE and FCC;
• Working knowledge of quality management principles (ISO, Lean, 5S, etc);
• Product development in the mining industry;
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment;
• Development of Business cases.
