Supply Chain Coordinator
Waipapa Pine, part of Fletcher Wood Products, is a leading producer of high-quality sawn timber products. Due to our successful continued expansion of operations in the North, we are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Coordinator to join our fabulous team in beautiful Whangarei. About the Job:
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and products throughout our supply chain. You will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the supply chain process, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate inventory replenishment to meet production demands while minimizing excess inventory.
- Plan and coordinate transportation and logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and warehousing.
- Work closely with internal teams to forecast demand, identify potential supply chain issues, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supply chain activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and shipping/receiving reports.
- Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement roles.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain management software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
