The Role
Copper Refineries currently have a vacancy for a Shift Maintenance Supervisor. Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be required to manage and lead a diverse and talented maintenance team, both mechanical and electrical.

 This challenging and rewarding role will require you to:

  • Supervise and Lead Maintenance Crew in maintaining Refinery assets and supporting Business Plan Objectives
  • Maximise plant availability through adequate execution of preventative, corrective and unplanned maintenance tasks, prioritising and making decisions accordingly, timely escalation where required
  • Communicate closely with all other work groups and departments.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and workplace inspections
  • Be task focused and prepared to work with others to achieve daily targets and outcomes.
  • Challenge the status quo and operate under the belief that all injuries are avoidable
  • Think logically to solve problems and create value

 You will have the following skillset and attributes:

  • Supervisory experience and an Electrical Trade
  • A minimum of 5 years previous experience within the mining or heavy industry environment
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities,
  • Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills along with a professional work standard
  • A commitment to safety and the ability to engage others in that commitment

 The following would also be highly regarded:

  • Proven experience in fault finding and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge and maintenance experience of centrifugal and screw type pumps
  • Hands-on experience with fixed plant maintenance
  • SAP experience
  • Trainer / assessor experience
  • S1, S2, S3
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite

This position is residential based in Townsville and requires you to work a 4×4 – 12-hour Day/Night roster.
