Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising for a Supervisor – Day Services to join the Copper Smelter- CUSM Operations team.  This is an excellent opportunity to further your experience and develop your technical skills and industry knowledge.

The Role

Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising an internal opportunity that exists for the role of Supervisor – Day Services. Reporting to the Superintendent – Secondary Operations CUSM, you will manage and support the operations team to focus on the continual improvement initiatives regarding safety and production. This position is offered on a residential basis and you will be required to work in accordance with 5/2 roster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Lead, Motivate and mentor the crew
• Achieve business objective in a safe and cost-effective manner
• Ensuring the crew maximises plant capacity
• Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives

The successful candidate will possess:

• Self-motivated and flexible with a high standard of work
• Experience in a supervisory capacity is necessary
• A pro-active approach to safety and continuous improvement
• Sound Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively and lead a team
• Hold QSECC explosives security clearance
