Student Civil Engineer

Golding is currently seeking a Student Civil Engineer for part time work during the university semester and full-time work over the university holidays. 

The successful applicant will currently be studying a relevantengineering qualification andpossessa high levelof communication, analytical, organisational and computer skills witha willingness to work on site.  

In turn, the successful applicant will be provided with a challenging work environment with opportunities for promotion and personal development. 

This opportunity will be based in Gladstone and will operate on a Monday to Friday roster (whilst on holidays). Ongoing part-time hours can be flexible depending on availability. 

Key roletasks: 

• Interpreting project specifications, drawings and quality assurance requirements

• Implementing project specification and quality assurance requirements via test request communication to geotechnical testers

• Further quality assurance implementation via site inspections and ITP management

• Data entry from test reports into software/systems

• Identify quality output trends from construction methodology inputs

• Form part of the project team and provide input into planning and scheduling based on gained knowledge of the project specifications and drawings

Key capability requirements: 

• Current study in Engineering qualifications are essential

• Strong communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal

• Prioritisation and organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines

• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
