Stores Officer

Are you enthusiastic about safety and looking for a permanent full time position as a Stores Officer with 2 years experience in the mining or heavy duty industry?  Ravenswood Gold want to hear from you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Stores Officer you will be part of a passionate team working a lifestyle DIDO roster 8:6. This permanent opportunity will report to the Senior Procurement Officer and be a vital member of the Warehouse Team.

You will be working within a team that provides Purchasing, Inventory, Warehousing and Contract Services to the mine site. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Receiving, sorting, checking stock against delivery dockets, distribution and recording of goods, materials and equipment
  • Loading and unloading of freight
  • Good organisational skills in storing stock and material in a safe manner
  • Keeping yard and working areas clean, tidy and safe and maintaining a high level of housekeeping
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

ABOUT YOU 

  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Stores Officer, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel
  • Experience with a warehouse database (ERP) system such as Pronto or similar
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide superior service to internal and external clients.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • An absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards and ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Must have C Class Drivers Licence.
  • Must have reliable transport to drive-in, drive-out to site on roster.
  • Current High Risk Work Licence LF (Forklift).
  • HR/MR truck Licence highly desirable.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic with integrity.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • You MUST live within a 200 km radius of Ravenswood Gold mine site
