As the Retail Manager in this hugely-popular Canberra store, you’re at the centre of everything: mentoring & coaching staff on product knowledge and sales techniques, helping a first-time customer find the perfect gear, or sharing fitness and equipment advice with seasoned players.

Whether you’re leading by example on the sales floor or brainstorming improvements for the store’s operations, you will thrive in an environment where teamwork and customer satisfaction are the top priorities. From overseeing the store layout to highlight the newest products to managing stock levels, your keen eye for detail & high energy will keep the store looking sensational at all times, and you will love chasing targets and results as much as you love celebrating the wins your team achieve!

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your retail / hospitality leadership skills with your love of sports in a dynamic and rewarding store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and develop a team of 10 staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Manage day-to-day operations, including inventory from delivery to POS, and maintain and implement high standards across your store layout.
• Create sensational relationships with customers to build your repeat business, offering expert advice and providing a welcoming, exciting shopping experience.
• Set sales and operational goals, track progress, and provide coaching to ensure your team thrives and performs.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase foot traffic, boost sales, and enhance the store’s already stellar reputation in the sporting community.
