Job Description
Grade 2 1.0 EFT Full-time (part-time considered) ongoing permanent position (Grade 1 considered).

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Paediatric Speech Pathologist who is passionate about providing a quality centre based and consultative service to our much-valued clients. You will demonstrate good initiative and problem-solving skills as well as an ability to work effectively with children, family members and internal/external service providers to best support and meet the child and familys needs and priorities.
This position contributes to the success of DPV Health by operating as a Speech Pathologist Grade 2 (Grade 1 considered) within the Child Health team in Hume.

In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive centre based and consultative Speech Pathology service to children up to school age that is co-designed with the family, to meet the needs of the child and family in a manner which respects their rights and confidentiality.
- Work in partnership and collaboration with the professionals who are supporting the child/family, to provide a timely and developmentally appropriate service and support. This may include internal and external health professionals and other community team members (eg. preschool, school and childcare staff).
- Assess, manage and the childs speech and language skills to implement interventions that will address the child/familys needs and priorities.
- Ensure the standards of the Speech Pathology service provided is based on current best practice in accordance with relevant evidence-based Speech Pathology research and the Speech Pathology Australia – Code of Ethics.
