Engineering Trades Australia are currently recruiting experienced local trades for an upcoming CIL tank construction project near Ballarat, commencing ASAP (from 5 January).
This is a local DIDO role only no FIFO, no accommodation, and no LAHA provided.
To meet fatigue management requirements, candidates must live within 45 minutes (up to a maximum of 11.5 hours) of site.
Only candidates based in Ballarat and surrounding towns, Bendigo region, Geelong region, or Melbourne (within travel radius) will be considered. Applicants outside this catchment area cannot be progressed.

Indicative Rates

Boilermakers / Special Class Welders $63 – $65/hr
Crane / Franna Operators $60/hr
Riggers $58/hr
Trades Assistants $50/hr
Final rates dependent on role, tickets, and experience. Boilermaker weld testing required
Project Details

Location: Ballarat, VIC
Start: ASAP / from 5 January
Duration: 45 months with potential extension
Roster: Local DIDO 3:1 (13th day off)
Requirements

Relevant trade qualification
Current HRWL
Rigging/Dogging ticket (Intermediate or Advanced where applicable)
White Card
Working at Heights, Confined Space & EWP (within last 2 years)
Strong construction project experience (mining experience preferred)
Able to work in a small crew environment
Able to pass pre-employment medical & D&A
Full Australian working rights
