Are you ready to engineer and build something extraordinary across the vast iron ore heartland of WA? We’re seeking a driven and technically strong Site Engineer (Civil/Structural or Mechanical) to join a long-term remote rail bridge replacement program across a huge iron ore rail network in Western Australia.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure projects in some of the most rugged and rewarding locations in the country. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of complex steel bridge replacement works across a remote operating rail network on FIFO 2/1 roster in WA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess engineering solutions in line with Australian Standards, client specifications and project safety requirements
- Support the planning and execution of steel rail bridge replacement projects in challenging, remote environments
- Liaise with project teams, contractors and client representatives to ensure seamless project delivery
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with rail safety, engineering codes, and environmental requirements
- Contribute technical expertise across the full project lifecycle from design to onsite construction and commissioning
- Maintain quality control and assurance for all works under your scope
- Promote and uphold best practice safety culture in all activities
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree qualification in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
- 2–3 years of relevant site-based experience, ideally with exposure to remote infrastructure and heavy structural works (steel/concrete)
- Familiarity with Australian Standards and codes related to steel structures and bridge construction
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to health, safety, and working in remote project environments
