Serviceperson Mechanic

The Role

Civmec are seeking an experienced Serviceperson Mechanic to join our Henderson Plant Yard on a full-time basis. In this position you will provide support by ensuring prompt service, repair and maintenance of our own equipment in our workshop.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Diagnosing faults, capturing defects, and repairing our mobile fleet
• Working on a variety of equipment including cranes, trucks, light vehicles, earthmoving equipment, forklifts, EWPs, generators, and small petrol, diesel, and electric plants
• Accurately reporting faults and maintaining detailed maintenance records
• Providing diagnostic fault finding on breakdowns

About You

We are looking for someone with positive energy and a willingness to learn. Additionally, you should have:

• A mechanical trade qualification (Cert III or equivalent)
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience in maintaining industrial equipment with both diesel and petrol engines
• Experience with EWPs and forklifts (desirable but not mandatory)
• A forklift licence (advantageous but not mandatory)
• A current drivers licence (HR preferred)
• An automotive refrigerant handling licence (not essential)
• A hands-on approach
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and reporting abilities
• A solid understanding of OH&S management principles
