An urgent need has arisen to engage the services of an experienced Senior Test Engineer Playwright API Automation.

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of our software products. You will work closely with the development team to identify and troubleshoot defects and will be responsible for providing status updates of products under test.

Whilst your main job is to write and execute test scripts for a range of digital projects and products (such as regression, functional, cross-browser, cross-device, user interface, data quality and more), you will be an integral part of the team and involved in day-to-day operations. 
 
Key responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing test plans and test cases for functional and non-functional testing.
• Designing, developing, and implementing automation tests.
• Executing tests, documenting defects, and recording results.
• Analysing and reporting on test results.
• Collaborating with developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
• Reviewing and analysing requirements to ensure completeness and testability.
• Participating in the development of new features and products.
• Keeping up to date with industry developments and trends in testing.
• Provide regular updates on the status of testing activities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and refining acceptance criteria.

Required Tools and technologies:

• JIRA task management and manage defects or issues that are discovered during testing.
• Confluence documentation regarding test runs and product release information.
• Git for version control and code collaboration.
• Playwright API and Headless Browser tests for web applications including JavaScript sites such as React/Next.js.
• K6 assess the performance and scalability of high usage APIs and web-based applications.
• DevOps using Azure Devops Pipelines/GitHub Actions for continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment processes, ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality software.
• Drupal CMS
• React/Next.js
• TypeScript/JavaScript
• API/REST concepts using tools such as Swagger or Postman
• Monitoring and logging software using tools such as Azure AppInsights.
• Microsoft SQL Server/MySQL
