To support our mission, we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Specialist Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) to work out of our Perth branch driving initiatives and compliance across WA & SA.

You will collaborate closely and regularly with the key influencers within BMSA, and ensure our business complies with all mandated and legislated requirements including BMSA and customer specific standards and protocols.

The Opportunity

  • Frequent travel to BMSA and customer locations across Australia and particularly WA & SA.
  • Protect the health (physical and psychological) and safety of workers and other people within the workplace by eliminating or minimizing risks
  • Ensure all workplace equipment, systems, guidelines, practices and procedures comply with the relevant HSEQ legislation, standards and protocols
  • Conduct regular and effective communication with all stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with the National HSEQ Team
  • Encourage a continuous improvement mindset amongst all stakeholders
  • Identify knowledge and/or skill gaps and rectify with appropriate training

About You – Essential

  • Excellent verbal and written communication (preferably in procedure writing)
  • Solid computing skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Strong relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of current HSEQ statutory requirements
  • Strong commitment to safety of yourself and others
  • A valid drivers licence
  • Current work rights in Australia

About You Preferred

  • Experience working in a similar HSEQ role
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications
  • Knowledge or exposure to Off the Road (OTR) Tyres, mining or related industries
