This position is based at one of their primary mine sites in Australia, which has been in operation for over 60 years.

Job Description

Reporting to the Project Studies & Approvals Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery and execution of environmental and social impact assessment studies, that will enable planned exploration and mining activities to access future resources.
Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing Mine Management Plans for both exploration and mining activities.
  • Assisting in obtaining regulatory approvals required to support exploration and capital projects.
  • Identifying environmental and social risks associated with land access and regulatory approval pathways, and implementing corrective actions to address and manage those risks.
  • Supporting the strategic engagement with external planning authorities and agencies (e.g. government agencies, land councils, liaison committees, community/NGO groups, and specialist consultants).
  • Supporting consultants to deliver on a variety of technical and social assessment related studies required as part of preparing approval applications.
  • Preparing forecast budgets, monthly accruals, schedule updates and 2-yearly work plans.
  • Assisting in facilitating the conversion of knowledge transfer of project approvals and commitments into relevant training materials for key staff.
