The Position

Located 40km west of Moree, this position offers the opportunity to take a leading role in managing day-to-day operations on a 23,735ha aggregation of dryland cropping, irrigated cropping, and grazing land. You’ll be working across wheat, barley, chickpeas, canola, sorghum, irrigated cotton, and livestock backgrounding.

Reporting to the Aggregation Manager, you’ll collaborate with agronomists to implement plans and oversee on-ground execution, while driving continuous improvement through the smart use of production data, planning tools, and operational systems. This is a role for someone confident in turning plans into action and influencing results at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with agronomists to coordinate seasonal programs, trials, and inputs
  • Monitor crop performance, livestock metrics, and water use to inform timely decisions
  • Oversee farm data systems and ensure accurate, accessible reporting
  • Drive improvements across irrigation, nutrition, and chemical programs
  • Contribute to planning cycles, operational reviews, and sustainability initiatives

The Person

You’re a practical, data-savvy operator with a strong grasp of both cropping and livestock systems. Your leadership style is hands-on and collaborative, and you enjoy seeing plans through to execution.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5 years in broadacre cropping or mixed farming
  • Experience with dryland and irrigated systems (cotton knowledge desirable)
  • Familiarity with livestock backgrounding and pasture management
  • Proficiency in farm management tools and reporting systems
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Qualifications in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or Farm Management (preferred)
