This important role will see you working within the Paediatric Physiotherapy team, providing inpatient and outpatient care. The team provides Physiotherapy services to a 34 bed paediatric and adolescent inpatient unit. This recently renovated unit includes a new adolescent space and separate gym therapy area.  The position also entails involvement in a range of outpatient clinics: clubfeet, eating disorders, out of home care and cystic fibrosis. Outpatient clinics take place in a new purpose-built paediatric outpatient space, with physiotherapy gym and plaster room. You will work alongside an experienced paediatric physiotherapist who covers the neonatal ward, developmental clinic as well as sharing cystic fibrosis clinic, club foot clinic and other outpatients. The position also provides education and support for rotating Level 1/ 2 Physiotherapists and students. The position provides the opportunity to work and collaborate with a range of non-clinical and clinical multi-disciplinary professionals.

We are looking for an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist with demonstrated experience in the management of children across a wide range of clinical areas including rehabilitation, oncology, orthopaedics, cardiorespiratory, developmental, mental health and eating disorders.  We are looking for a Physiotherapist with skills to work independently to manage a varied and dynamic caseload and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Details of Appointment:       Permanent, full-time, day time position, working 76 hours per fortnight (part-time negotiable with successful applicant)

Salary:                                     $103,608 – $119,430 per annum 11% superannuation 

Salary Packaging:                     Access to a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year

Relocation Assistance:           Reimbursement for up to $3,000 of expenses incurred through relocating

                                                Reimbursement for up to $500 for flights

Professional Development: $1,000 per annum entitlement for professional development course fees (daily wage, flights, accommodation, daily allowance paid in addition to this)

Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

1. Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
2. Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
3. Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.

1. Current Driver’s Licence.
2. Australian Physiotherapy Association- Titled Physiotherapist (in relevant area)
