Rex Minerals is an Australian mining company dedicated to the development of its flagship A$1.0B Copper-Gold Hillside Project located on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. The project will be a significant contributor to the South Australian economy and will provide employment opportunities for locals and for those prepared to relocate to the region. Rex Minerals has an office in Adelaide where a dedicated and growing team provide support to the project.

About the Role:


Rex Minerals are seeking an experienced Senior People & Culture Advisor to join the team and play a critical role in supporting the Hillside Project. Reporting to the Manager People & Culture, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, and employee development. While your primary focus will be on the Hillside Project, you will also provide support across the wider organisation as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead recruitment process to attract top talent, ensuring alignment with business needs and culture.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive, high-performance work environment.
  • Manage industrial relations matters with a focus on compliance, conflict resolution, and employee well-being.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on all People & Culture matters.
  • Support employee development programs to build leadership capabilities and enhance workforce performance.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • 8 years of experience in People & Culture roles with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the mining sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology or related discipline.
  • Australian driver’s licence.
  • A proven track record of delivering impactful business outcomes through people-focused initiatives.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels, especially with senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end recruitment and talent management.
  • Strong communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and a passion for driving positive organisational change.
  • A proactive, independent work ethic, capable of working autonomously and taking ownership of projects.
