The opportunity

As Senior Manager Strategy and Planning, youll work directly with the CEO, Executive Team, and Senior Leaders to bring Warrigals vision to life. This is your chance to lead with purpose, turning strategic goals into actionable outcomes that deliver meaningful results in aged care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging our Board, Chief Executive Officer and Executive in the ongoing development and review of the strategy. Assisting in deploying the strategy into actionable planning instruments.
  • Designing and overseeing systems which develop, review and drive performance. This would also measure the impact.
  • Collaborating with leaders across the organisation to align corporate services with strategic goals, improving both efficiency and outcomes.
  • Oversighting Warrigals Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) to ensure seamless coordination of business planning, always prioritising customer needs.
  • Oversighting our organisation policy development and developing our policy framework
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of functions which also includes office management and executive support coordination.

This is a hands-on leadership role where your ability to analyse, plan, and manage complex projects will directly contribute to Warrigals success. Some interstate or inter-office travel may be required.

What it takes to do this work

Essential:

  • Strong commitment to Warrigal’s values: Integrity, Respect, Innovation, and Compassion.
  • Extensive experience in strategy or management consulting, preferably with top-tier firms or in corporate strategy roles.
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Management, Commerce, or similar).
  • Expertise in various strategic services: corporate, executive, portfolio, customer, segment, operational, and capability strategies, with a focus on successful execution.
  • Proven success in managing large-scale projects and tackling complex challenges.
  • Willingness to embrace risk and encourage innovation.
  • A customer-first mindset, prioritising the customer experience.
  • Build strong, collaborative partnerships to advance strategic goals and improve practices.
  • Experience working in an executive office or high-level environment.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to implement systems and procedures to meet deadlines and standards.
  • Proven leadership skills in delegating and directing strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively communicate key information to diverse audiences through reports and presentations.
  • Sound decision-making, collaboration skills, and the ability to identify opportunities and solutions independently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Lead and manage change processes, using strong analytical thinking.
  • Experience managing diverse portfolios.
  • Expertise in researching, synthesising, and interpreting complex information, with the ability to present clear and concise reports and recommendations.
  • High-level project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computing tools.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the aged care or human services sector.
