The Lindsay Group proudly operates an extensive Rural and National Transport and Logistics business across various locations connecting growers, regional communities and businesses with cities and sellers of fresh food across Australia. As part of the group Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia, specialising in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres to help our customers best meet their national supply chain needs.  Lindsay Rural and the Hunters business provide essential services and products to rural Australia across most Australian growing regions.

About the Opportunity

 

Based at our Corporate Head Office in Acacia Ridge and reporting to the Groups Financial Controller; this role offers the opportunity to join a close-knit accounting team which is undergoing a transformation of change.

 

Our Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for providing management accounting support to the business and will have core accountabilities of a broad range of functions including: 

  • Management reporting
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Business partnering with management teams
  • Financial modelling & report development
  • Project reporting

About You:

 

To succeed in this role, you will possess strong communication and analytical skills coupled with a desire to learn and grow within our business. The right candidate will be self-motivated, a natural problem solver and have strong time management skills. You will take ownership of your work and continually seek ways to improve processes and commercial outcomes.

 

We anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Prior experience working in transport, warehouse, logistics or similar industries.
  • Expertise in data extraction and reporting from an ERP system.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills coupled with strong relationship building & management skills.
  • Great organisation, planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing objectives.
  • The ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.

Ideally you will have a completed Bachelors degree and have completed your CA/CPA studies complemented by a minimum of 4-5 years post qualification experience.
