What youll do

As a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer (Occupational Therapy), you will be instrumental in the ongoing development of the Universitys offerings in Occupational Therapy, our Associate Degree in Allied Health and related health programs, including internal and external accreditation.

Bringing your academic experience, combined with your clinical experience in hospital, industry, or private practice), you will contribute to the leadership and delivery of courses and the ongoing development of programs. You will work with a growing and diverse team while building strong industry linkages to develop and deliver a modern and relevant teaching program with positive student outcomes. You will also engage in research for the discipline.

About you
          

In addition to your relevant formal qualifications in Occupational Therapy and registration (or eligibility for registration) as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, you will have full registration in good standing as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Professions Regulation Agency (or international equivalent), and additional certification required for ongoing clinical practice or clinical supervision.

You will also have:

  • detailed knowledge of the accreditation standards for the development of occupational therapy programs, and experience in tertiary level program design and curriculum development.
  • clinical experience in hospital, industry or private practice, sufficient to train novice clinicians and provide professional development for peers.
  • experience in clinician education, ideally within the university sector, including experience in the development and delivery of curriculum and assessments using multi-modal delivery approaches.
  • strong interprofessional relationships within allied health and a proven commitment to interprofessional education and collaboration.

As a Senior Lecturer, you will require a research track record which demonstrates a strong commitment to furthering knowledge in the discipline and engaging with industry.  As a Lecturer, you may have a research track record or extensive clinical and/or tertiary teaching experience.

Senior Lecturer – Total remuneration range for full-time appointment $156,562 to $179,946 pa (includes salary range of $132,287 to $152,045 pa, employer superannuation contributions up to 17% of salary and annual leave loading)


Lecturer
– Total remuneration range for full-time appointment $128,506 to $151,889 pa (includes salary range of $108,581 to $128,339 pa, employer superannuation contributions up to 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
