Protech is currently seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist to join our client a growing, ASX-listed gold producer and development company, for their Exploration Teams. Operating both established and emerging assets, our client is actively expanding their footprint at a key gold project located in Western Australias Gascoyne region. This permanent position is offered on a FIFO 8:6 Roster.
ABOUT THE ROLE:

- Day Shift ONLY
- ASAP Start
- 12 hours days
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide project supervision for company personnel and contractors, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements of an Exploration Manager
- Conduct geological assessment, interpretation, and maintain data integrity
- Collaborate on drillhole design
- Manage contractors to ensure completion of work programs
- Plan costs and manage project expenditures
- Support development of project geologists in line with succession planning
- Prepare and submit reports
- Coordinate drilling assets to meet corporate resource data requirements
- Manage geological, drillhole, and contractor data and information
- Use geological observations to guide forward work programs
- Communicate project progress and key observations to management
- Act as the statutory Exploration Manager while on site
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Tertiary qualification: BSc (Geology) or BAppSc (Geology)
- Experience: Minimum 10 years postgraduation / More than 5 years WA exploration experience
- Current LV Drivers Licence
- Strong ability to recognise structural geology, gold mineralisation styles, and key host lithologies
- Solid understanding of drillhole sampling, subsampling practices, and sampling theory
- Knowledge of assay methods and QA/QC principles
- Ability to optimise processes, personnel, equipment, and contractor utilisation
- Proven capability to train, coach, motivate, and effectively delegate within technical teams
