About the Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Capricorn Copper operation near Mount Isa in Queensland. This site-based role forms part of the Restart Study Team, reports to the Electrical Superintendent, and operates on an 8:6 roster.

Your focus will be on providing electrical engineering and project leadership to plan and deliver capital and sustaining projects that support the safe restart and long-term performance of the Capricorn Copper mine.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery of capital and sustaining projects across the site.
• Providing expert electrical and control engineering leadership across all project phases to ensure design integrity, constructability, and maintainability.
• Planning and justifying capital projects, including cost estimation, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Managing consultants, contractors, and suppliers to deliver safe, high-quality, and cost-effective outcomes.
• Overseeing project governance, including cost control, reporting, change management, and compliance with safety, site, and corporate standards.
• Mentoring and developing engineers and project teams, while fostering a safety-focused, high-performance culture.

About You
Our ideal candidate will have strong electrical engineering experience, with proven capability to deliver end-to-end projects in mining, minerals processing, or a related heavy industry.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including HV distribution, transformers, switchgear, motor control centres, communications, and backup power systems.
• Experience working across civil, structural, and mechanical engineering interfaces.
• Proficiency with engineering and project tools, including AutoCAD, Navisworks, and MS Project.
• C-class manual drivers licence.
