We are looking for a skilled Senior Desktop Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. The role will focus on enabling a standard, stable and robust desktop environment for staff in the Bank. This includes the plan, design, testing and implementation of end-user technology including desktops, laptops, tablets, and virtual desktops. Facilitate hardware equipment procurement, leasing and technical support for the overall desktop computing environment.

- Resolve incidents and service requests related to IT End-User services.
- Enable a standard, stable and robust desktop environment for users in the Bank.
- Improve the overall User Experience.
- Business analysis and reporting for desktop support.
- Transition of new services into production.
- Ensure security compliance through patching.
About you
- Microsoft desktop technologies and server application systems.
- Strong knowledge of Windows (11) Desktop and server operation systems.
- Experience working with and knowledge of virtualisation technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in application packaging and deployment in a large organisation.
- Strong working knowledge of core Windows services (Directory Services).
- Strong understanding of remote access technologies.
- Advance troubleshooting skills of desktop and server operating systems.
- Strong history of completing tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
- Extensive Experience in writing policies and procedures and other support documentation.
- Experience in coordination of IT projects.
- Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP.
- Strong knowledge of ASD security guidelines and Security compliance methodologies.
- Knowledge of Unified Communications.
- Knowledge of Windows Installer formats and standards (MSI).
- Knowledge of Microsoft’s System Center Configuration Manager.
- Knowledge of the Windows file system and registry.
- Experience in maintaining effective working relationships with internal customer stakeholders in a large organisation.
- Understanding of desktop and server security solutions including AntiVirus systems.
- Experience in the planning, implementation, management, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft desktop infrastructure.
