About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Technical Performance, this collaborative and supportive role is responsible for providing technical and engineering solutions along with business improvement outcomes for our operations in Australia and overseas. This is a Fly-in-Fly-out role that requires travel across Australia, Africa and North America.

Key Accountabilities:
Act in the best interests of Perenti Contract Mining, by working within legislation that underpins the companys operation
Ensure that decisions are based on the achievement of Perenti Contract Minings objectives.
Ensure conduct which is consistent with Perenti Contract Minings values, policies, systems, procedures and statutory requirements.
Ensuring a safe working environment with a commitment to zero harm.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Drive a continuous improvement culture focused on technical effectiveness and operational excellence.
Coach and mentor both client and/or Perenti Technical Services Group members
Advise on underground mine design, drill and blast, ventilation, scheduling and operational optimisations.
Continuously identify opportunities to promote safety at our sites
Required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree in mining engineering (or the equivalent).
Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (highly regarded)
2 Years completion of underground time required
5 years’ experience in Mine Design, Scheduling and Drill and Blast.
Technical report writing skills.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Deswik software experience (essential).
