ugls fuels and energy east business is seeking a senior civil/structural engineer to work across brownfield and asset maintenance projects for fuel terminals or petrochemical settings under our pem&am contract.
reporting to the lead civil structural engineer you will work with a team of engineers and designers to provide safe, reliable, and efficient technical expertise to the business.
this hybrid role can be based in either our brisbane or melbourne office, both in the southbank area convenient to public transport. occasional site visits will be required.
key responsibilities
- provide civil and structural engineering design, ensuring top-quality deliverables that align with project and business needs.
- develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, underpinned by thorough technical analyses and adherence to all applicable codes and standards.
- collaborate effectively with the design team to create detailed drawings based on engineering sketches and reports.
- liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members, maintaining robust professional relationships.
- utilise software tools like spacegass, robot, 12d, and civil 3d for design and analysis tasks.
about you
- years of detailed engineering design experience, particularly in the resource, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
- hold a tertiary qualification in civil/structural engineering
- registered professional engineer (cpeng) and rpeq qualified.
- exhibit strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- demonstrates a positive, results-driven attitude.
