About the team
The dynamic Tax Advisory Group (TAG) is a team of highly qualified tax professionals who together deliver value adding tax advisory services to their clients, covering the complete tax spectrum, from individuals to multinational enterprises, with particular focus on the middle market sector of the Australian economy. With longstanding institutional relationships with the ATO, the team is also able to advocate for effective tax legislation that benefits all its clients.
The International Tax team operates as a cohesive unit within the broader Tax Advisory practice. Embracing our one firm approach, we encourage collaboration across practice teams to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.
About the role
As a Senior Analyst, Assistant Manager or Manager in the International Tax team of our Tax Advisory practice, you will provide expert advice on tax treaty matters, attribution issues, withholding taxes, thin capitalisation, Section 99B considerations, capital gains tax, consolidation, and a wide range of other tax matters. Your work will focus on structuring transactions and organisations involved in international dealings.
Key responsibilities
- Draft advice on various issues, including restructuring entities with cross-border considerations, corporate and individual tax residency, foreign hybrid mismatch, capital gains tax, and structuring and corporate tax matters for cross-border clients
- Work directly with clients to establish and structure cross-border business structures
- Review international dealings schedules and tax returns, providing relevant advice and insights
- Coach, mentor, and lead team members by delivering technical training
- Identify and engage in business development opportunities

- A tertiary qualification in accounting, law, or a related business field
