About the role

We are excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team! This role is pivotal in providing expert reporting, analysis, and accounting guidance for our production companies in Australia, the United States, and parts of Asia, as well as our Australian corporate entities.

The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive monthly reporting into the GroundProbe AX Microsoft ERP system, including trial balances and all supporting schedules, while collaborating with a global team that values inclusivity, friendliness, and support.

You will have the chance to work in our stunning Windsor, Brisbane office from Monday to Friday, within an inclusive, friendly, and supportive work environment, directly reporting to the Head of Finance to ensure your contributions are recognized and valued.

What you will be doing

• Provide timely accounting guidance and accurate financial reports and analysis of the Technologies (Manufacture) companies in Australia and in the USA to the VP and Business unit managers;
• Oversee the financial guidance, reporting, analysis, and support provided by the Africa and Asia business unit accountants to ensure delivery of quality and timely results;
• Management of Accounts Receivable officer in the Brisbane office;
• Management of Accountant in GroundProbe Tucson Business unit;
• Managing and administering the changes in the projects through the lifecycle and ensuring accounting treatment is in line with corporate accounting policies;
• Provide advice and guidance to business unit accountants on related Finance projects;
• Oversee and review work of accountants in business units to ensure consistent and best practice as per GroundProbes financial procedures and requirements.

What you will bring

• Will have more than 5 years experience as a Senior Accountant;
• Relevant tertiary qualifications such as Commerce Degree and professional accounting qualification
• Strong financial management analysis and interpretation skills for cost accounting, inventory control, standard and variance cost analysis; labour cost set-up;
• Knowledge of the key financial drivers within an international business environment including import/export operations and foreign exchange;
• Strong knowledge of leadership and management including project management, change management and risk management;
• Ability to decide and develop clear financial policies, procedures and processes to deliver objectives on time and to agreed quality;
• Ability to lead and manage compliance with accounting and financial process across the American business units;
• Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP experience desirable;
• Completed CA or CPA.
