Our client provides services to governmental organisation globally and they are seeking a Security Manager to join their team in Canberra. This person will be responsible for implementation and monitoring of security policies and company assets.
Description
Your duties include the following but not limited to:
- Ensure that all critical service levels are met and contractual obligations are fulfilled, with any deviations reported through the incident report framework.
- Ensure adherence to the company’s security policies and procedures relevant to the role.
- Plan and oversee security arrangements, including the development of security plans, deployment of personnel, and training within the designated region.
- Support and generate periodic reports for the MIS, providing performance indicators and ensuring timely reporting and resolution of security issues.
- Maintain logs of critical service level achievements and provide accurate MIS reports.
- Assist in conducting investigations and inquiries as required by management.
- Plan resource allocation and budgeting for security equipment and measures within the region.
- Ensure the implementation of effective security awareness, training, and educational programs to maintain high levels of security awareness among employees.
- Advise regional management on the current geopolitical situation and offer risk mitigation strategies for the region.
- Liaise with local government authorities (e.g., police, emergency services) on CS and risk-related matters.
- Act as the CS and Risk Single Point of Contact for security-related deliverable with government clients.
Profile
To be successful for this role, you must have:
- About 5-10 years experience working with governmental organisations
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to develop and build customer relationships.
- Ability to prepare budget
- Experience in MIS reporting would be highly regarded (i.e. response times, incident resolution, or security breaches, resource utilization, compliance with security policies)
- Outstanding stakeholder management ability
