Job description
Safety Advisor
- $500 – 700 per day super
- Parramatta / hybrid
- 6 month contract
About the Company
We are looking for a Safety Advisor to join a NSW government organisation based in Parramatta / hybrid.
About the Role
- Providing expert advice and support in delivering specific business unit strategic objectives, plans, management systems objectives, mitigation of safety risks and hazards, the prevention of workplace injuries, the prevention of incidents and occurrences, regulatory compliance and the promotion of a safe culture.
- Support Safety strategy, capability uplift and ways of improving safety across the business and Suppliers
- Medium complexity in developing and optimising safety performance
- Demonstrate effective support, influence and drive in establishing and maintaining positive ongoing working relationships with multiple stakeholders across multiple business divisions
- Conduct investigations as a lead investigator and or participate in large multidisciplinary investigations as requested
Skills & Experience
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety or Diploma of Occupational Health & Safety
- High level of interpersonal skills including team, relationship building & conflict resolution
- A working knowledge of the NSW Government OHS Management System Guidelines
- Working knowledge of the WHS Act, WHS Regulations and associated Codes of Practice and Australian Standards
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and communication skills
