Te kwhiringa | The Opportunity 

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our Roadmarking team as a Roadmarking Operations Support. This pivotal role will involve assisting in the reporting on contractual budgets, providing operational support, and coordinating our Roadmarking operations across both our Auckland and Whangarei branches. You will support the Roadmarking Operations team, handle financial reporting, and assist with internal customer service to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with processing operational documents, collating daily job records, and ensuring accurate reporting to the Regional Manager.
  • Support the Roadmarking Operations and Project Manager with process improvement initiatives, resource tracking, and responding to management information requests.
  • Assist with planning and programming Roadmarking tasks, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Provide financial support by managing budgets, purchase orders, cost allocations, and month-end assistance.
  • Support Health & Safety policies, promote Zero Harm initiatives, and ensure staff compliance with safety practices and PPE requirements.

Where no two days will be the same, your highly organised approach and excellent attention to detail would be key to your success in this role. Youll be friendly and willing to get stuck in but also not afraid to speak up and push back when needed. Therell be multiple deadlines and cut-offs to meet in a month, hence it is a must for you to be deadline-focused and have spectacular time-management skills. Along with these, you will also have:

  • Proven experience in financial control and quality systems
  • Strong background in operational and administrative support, preferably in a high-volume, high-paced environment
  • Successful experience providing management support in maintenance and/or construction contracts
  • Previous experience with financial reporting processes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence
  • A strong track record that demonstrates leadership behaviours
