Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in surgical nursing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical care and proficiency in IV cannulation.
About the role:
We have multiple contracts available across Hospital & Health services in QLD ranging from 4-12 weeks with potential to extended. Duties for this contract include:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Perform IV cannulation and manage intravenous therapy as needed.
- Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, reporting any changes to the medical team.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in surgical nursing is essential.
- Proficiency in IV cannulation.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
- AHPRA Registration (must be current)
- National Police Check
- Immunisation History
- Additional Mandatory Trainings
